Description

This was taken just yesterday while out and about on an adventure in Muir Woods. I thought this was pretty interesting, just because of the settings that I used, it was a really dark forest (Redwoods) and I got to experiment with my camera a lot. There are a few more that I'm pleased with from the hikes, I'll post them in the days to come. I've been gone for a few days, so sorry for the delay, but I'll try and comment on everybody's new work!

The full version looks a lot better than this little one.

Camera: Canon EOS 20D
Software: Adobe PS 7
Shutter: 20Sec
ISO: 100

This is gorgeous Joel. I myself enjoy dabbling in slow shutter with moving water.
I especially like the appearance of the rocks to the left. My only crit ... I think more room above the falls would add something to this beautiful photo.

Excellent!

Nice effect with the 20 sec. shutter speed. The metallic look to the bottom rock must be from the water flowing over it in the 20 seconds. Very well done photo!

Wonderful water capture, Muir home farm here in Wisconsin doesn't have waterfall. Lovely springfed lake and creek though, one of few unpolluted lakes in state. Looking forward to more photos.

I love long exposures of waterfalls. The affect I feel really enhances the scene. Great composure. The metallic "glossy" lower rock really is amazing. I love how long exposures can change the rock that way.

the 20d is an awesome camera, very nice shot, this shot wouldve been crap without the prolonged exposure, good thinkin, at first i thought the glistening rock was distracting, but it's a nice touch to a rather busy piece to have a bright stationary object, nice shootin

WOW. The water looks unreal...and some of those rocks look like they're onyx or something...so shiny and smooth. It's really a beautiful shot :)
